My Spooks 7 dvd came today, and made me smile :) I can be unsocialable and watch Armitage tonight, and not even feel guilty cause it will count towards dissertation :)

P.S. I love the weather at the moment.

I have just given in and ordered Spooks 7 and All the Small Things - I really should not be buying things, but..... they will make me happy! :)

Also got the book to go with the Hairy Bikers Food Tour of Britain - should be good.

Can't wait till Spooks starts again!! (ps. does anyone actually know why the dvd took this long to come out?)

I am so ****ing annoyed at my Uni. The module choices in History were uninteresting this year, so I chose the best one and then began to quite look forward to it. And then TWO weeks before term starts they email to say sorry but they've changed it from term 1 to 2 due to 'reasons too long to go into'. Two weeks!!! They don't even sound like it's that much of an inconvenience! I actually can't change it I'm afraid! I do have other modules. I have spent a small fortune on books, and started to read a bit (though not as much as I meant to) - and suddenly I have to change. Arrrhhh!

Bryan's glare will show you how annoyed I am.... be afraid.

I only just caught the advert saying that Merlin starts tomorrow night!!! Can't wait. Though I will be watching it on iplayer - I am outvoted 2 to 1 by X-Factor! It is so not better.

I would like to really recommend this film. If you want something that's clever, appreciates its audiences intellect and always keeps you guessing. Best film I have watched in a while :)

It's about the rivalry between two magicians, and is full of trickery and illusion.

I think i have done this before - but the list might be different so: (edit: it's not, but I have highlighted some different book, must be my memory)

Apparently “The Big Read” assumes that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed.
Wow, really?

1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people
who've read 6 and force books upon them ;-)

Also: These are the top 106 books most often marked as "unread" by LibraryThing’s users. As in, they sit on the shelf to make you look smart or well-rounded. Bold the ones you've read, underline the ones you read for school, italicize the ones you started but didn't finish. (I tend to finish books, so again will italicize those I really want to read).

I would just like to highlight to people my new obsession :) Legend of the Seeker!!!!!!

If you have not seen it try it (on youtube - can't find the dvds). It's like a cross between Robin Hood and Lord of the Rings - with the whole fantasy fighting evil thing!

It's based on a series of fantasy books by Terry Goodkind - which not read before but now want to try. The series is really good though cause it's 22 episodes long which means you can really get into it. The filming in amazing!!! was done in New Zealand in HD - plus they know how to frame their shots and do their editing. Which I know someone complained about with Robin Hood when comparing it to Merlin.

Oh and the main guy gets cute as you get used to him and the girl has an awesome dress!!

Can I just say that minus the (complete) lack of canon I quite liked that episode.

I think she's interesting because she's complicated, and my opinion of her keeps changing each episode.

Just a little question for people related to this programme. I was bored so I watched some on iplayer and it's actually quite interesting.

What things would you like to do that you have never done before?

It's usually a few activities along with a well known book/film they haven't read/seen.

For me: two things I would like to do are sword fighting and sky diving. Book wise I want to read 'Midnight Children' cause it seems to be one people either love or hate. And I think I should watch 'Red Dwarf" cause what with the new episodes everyone goes What!! when I say I have not seen it.

yay I get spoilt tomorrow - with Doctor Who and Robin Hood!!!

So, I like Russel Tovey, I think he's a brilliant actor. So when I was flicking channels and a scene of him in 'Being Human' came on I thought I would watch it. Just that scene though, cause the series has not interested me so far.

Basically vampires, werewolves and all really don't interest me. If a novel, film or fanfic mentions them I tend to run a mile.

But this really broke my prejudice, it was funny as well as being emotionally interesting. So that's me told off, and another tv show to add to the pile.

Why does Guy have spurs? It is starting to annoy me. And I spent a lot of time trying to figure out if the Sheriff's fake tooth is red.
